Come Together

neuwied_plakat The careers of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones are the main theme of our exhibition "Come together", which started on Saturday, 12th of July, in the steamengine museum of Werdau - www.werdau.de - a town near Zwickau/Saxony.

There you may find many rare LPs, magazines, posters, books and souvenirs as well as a compilation of headlines regarding both of the groups. In a special area you can see documents of teamwork of the Beatles and the Stones. To name only two examples: "I Wanna Be Your Man" was written for the Stones by Lennon/McCartney. And the artists of "The Rolling Stones Rock'n'Roll Circus" weren't the Stones alone. John Lennon and Yoko Ono took part in it as well as Eric Clapton, The Who and Jethro Tull.
To complete the exhibition we place some record players, radio and TV-sets as well as amplifiers and instruments similar to those, the groups in the Sixties used for their music.
"Come together" was also the name of our first Beatles/Stones exhibition in Neuwied near Bonn, from April 24th - May 20th 2002.

The Brian Jones Fan Club in Cheltenham works in memory of the Stones guitar player who died in 1969. They also plan to build up a statue in his hometown. From 1963 on many souvenirs on The Beatles have been brought on the market. Our exhibition shows broochs in form of guitars made in England, US stamps or a folder from Germany.
