Exhibition
The Rocky Road To Dublin
Our next project (20.10 - 26.11.2000) - in Freudenberg again - dealed with the Irish music-scene. It was dedicated to the legends of Irish folk, rock and pop: Rory Gallagher, Van Morrison, Thin Lizzy, The Dubliners, The Chieftains, Sinead O'Connor, Clannad, Planxty and Christy Moore. As well as the heroes of the youth of today like the Corrs, the Cranberries, Oa sis, Boyzone and The King - just to mention some of them.
We were very much surprised and delighted when a special guest appeared in "The Rock Road": Matthew Sweeney, a writer from Donegal, came to visit our exhibition. He stayed for a literary workshop at the University of Siegen where collegues told him about our show in Freudenberg. He turned out to be an excellent expert in Irish music and rock an pop in general.
His words in our guestbook: "It is good to see all this stuff - so far from home!"
