Stones came to an end – on Friday Joey Albrecht and Tommy Goldschmidt of the Berlin based rock band Karthago (www.karthago.de) played unplugged, and on Saturday and Sunday many fans joined three guided tours. Now the warehouse is empty again and all the collectibles have found their way back home.

Ron Williams sung ”Satisfaction“ at the opening ceremony

With an acoustic set by the Siegen based ”Sticky Fingers Band“ (www.stickyfingersband.de) our exhibition ”It′s Only Rock′n′Roll“ started in an empty warehouse in Siegen City. The opening ceremony had it′s climax when American born singer and entertainer Ron Williams (www.ron-williams.de) caught the microphone and sang a driving version of ”Satisfaction“. Also guest at the opening ceremony was Dorian Rudnytsky, former member of the New York Rock′n′Roll Ensemble. Siegens mayor Ulf Stötzel said ”welcome“ to our guests, Wolfgang Suttner, the man who made ”Paul McCartney Paintings“ in Siegen six years ago, gave an introduction to the exhibition.

We have to say that we are impressed by the reaction on ”It′s Only Rock′n′Roll“. For example: there are two dia-shows at rp-online RP arcticle) with pictures from Siegen and Rolling Stones concert photos, there are also references at www.stonesforum.nl (button: Overige) and at fanclub ”It′s Only Rock′n′Roll“ iorr.org (button: News).

Pictures of the opening ceremony for the dia show have been taken by: Horst Schaumann.
