”It′s Only Rock′n′Roll – The History of The Rolling Stones“

Exhibition
„It′s Only Rock′n′Roll"

::: What you will see :::

vox_guitarThe Rolling Stones were in the headlines right from the start of their career – the exhibition will contain several magazines and newspapers.

Of course we are able to present the rare German pressings of the mid-sixties as well as nice picture discs.

Beside an extensive look at the band's history from 1962 onwards we also build up special sections for each Stones-member and the solo activities.robertkueppers

Last but not least we put people into the spotlight that have been connected with the Stones in different ways. Without Alexis Korner the Stones would not exist, Nicky Hopkins played with them from ”Beggar′s Banquet“ till his death in 1994, Ian ”Stu“ Stewart was their sixth man 1963, until he was kicked out, but stayed with them as their road manager and piano player, and as member of ”Rocket 88“ alongside Charlie watts und Bill Wyman. Andrew Oldham was responsible for their bad boys image, and Gram Parsons was a friend to keith Richards and opened their ears for country rock – without him Jagger/Richards would not have written a song like ”Dead Flowers“.

On sunday, 26th of June, additional a show window is decorated with Stones posters and pictures – and presents another attraction: The object ”Rolling Stones“ by artist Robert Küppers (www.robertkueppers.de) from Dormagen near Cologne. He′s put four granite stones on rolls – his ”Hommage for pop group Rolling Stones“, as he called it.
