„Swinging Sixties“ at the Siegerlandhalle

The exhibition ”Swinging Sixties“ has been opened at Saturday, 31st August 2008. Until 7th September there will be lots of music, dance and fashion shows.
The stage of the Leonhard-Gläser-Hall is decorated with tapestries showing The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis and Jim Morrison. They are part of our museum as well as many other items of the ”Swinging Sixties“ exhibition.
The great picture frame contains 15 singles of the 1962 classification of BRAVO Musicbox.. Next to it you find a tour poster from 1965. Part of the concerts, presented by BRAVO magazine were, among others, Rex Gildo, Roy Black, Casey Jones & The Governors (on the poster the first name is written ”Casy“) and The Five Dops. – We decorated the glass case with items concerning BRAVO and German hit singers.
Aside of our new Rock-Museum banner you can see 13 issues of the BRAVO magazine from 1962.
Recorded speaches and portraits of politicians, books and many other items of remembrance of political events in the 1960ies complete our part in the ”Swinging Sixties“ exhibition.
The ”Swinging Elephants“ delivered the musical part for the opening ceremony. – A hairdresser′s shop in 60s style is among the attractions at ”Swinging Sixties“.
