They were one of the most successful team of authors in the 196os: Brian Holland who′ll celebrate his 65th anniversary on Feb. 15, 2006, his brother Eddie and Lamont Dozier. And they were close to Berry Gordy, when he in 1959 founded ”Motown“ Company in Detroit, the Motor Town. ”Holland-Dozier - Holland“ wrote the ten No 1 hits the Supremes had between 1964 and 1968. ”Where Did Our Love Go“ was even heard in space: The US astronauts Gordon Cooper and Charles Conrad who encircled the earth on ”Gemini 5“ (21. – 29.8.1965) chose this song to be played during their mission. Holland – Dozier – Holland left Motown in 1968 to found their own label, but returned in the seventies to work for The Jackson 5 and the remaining Supremes.
