Spotlight in August and September ′06 - Jerry Garcia – ”Grateful Dead“

He was the leading figur of Hippie-Culture: Jerry Garcia, mastermind of Grateful Dead, born 1st of August 1942, died 9th of August 1995. Here we present a small extract out of our ”Dead“-collection.
Original concert poster: Grateful Dead played at Rüsselsheim near Frankfurt on Tuesday, 13th October 1981.
Grateful Dead was founded in San Francisco in 1965 and became famous especially by their live concerts. Original members – some of them formerly played with The Warlocks – alongside Garcia were Bob Weir (g, voc), Phil Lesh (bass, voc), Ron ”Pipgen“ McKernan (keys, per, voc) and Bill Kreutzman (dr). Other members were: Tom Constanten (keys, 1968-70), Mickey Hart (Schlagzeug, 1967 – 1971, ab 1975), Keith Godchaux (keys, 1971 – 1979), Donna Godchaux (voc, 1972 – 1979), Brendt Mydland (keys, voc, 1979 – 1990), Bruce Hornsby (keys, voc, 1990 – 1992), Vince Welnick (keys, voc, ab 1990).
