Spotlight in Summer ′08 - 40 Years ”Burg Herzberg Festival“ & Golden Oldies
::: Golden Oldies - three days in hot Wettenberg :::
On the Golden Oldies Festival in Wettenberg we presented our new ensign and a small choice from our collection and went back home with a lot of positive impressions. We had the chance to meet Chris Howland . As ”Mr. Pumpernickel“ from the TV Show ”Studio B“ the 80 years old entertainer still is very famous in Germany. He was very delighted to see his portrait on the German magazine ”Der Spiegel“ from 1952. His commentary whilst signing the cover: ”Seems I am related to this young guy.“

During the festival we met a lot of interesting people. We get in touch with the Elvis Presley Club Bad Nauheim-Friedberg. The members are buisy to re-open the ”Capri Club“ in the Ray Barracks near the B3 – with a lot of music, films, a dance night and a children′s program as well. You may even take part in a Hula Hoop or Pettycoat competition. On Sunday members of the Siegen based band Neworleens, also thousands of visitors to the festival were ready to collect information on our activities.
